Plot I, grave E.27.

Seth Loveridge Durbin was born in the second quarter of 1896 in Honiton, Devon, to Samson 1861-1933 and Sarah (nee Loveridge) 1861-1931. He had six sisters: Annie Jane 1884-1964 m George Sawday 1878-1941, Sarah 1886-1893, Jessie Mary 1888-1976 m Ralph Harding 1886-1976, May 1892-1943, Sara Elsie 1897-1985 m Arthur Tom Hartnell 1897-1977 and Daisy 1899-1988 m Robert Cathcart. He also had two brothers; William John 1887-1959 m Mary Vine Newbury 1887-1977 and Percival 1893-1918.

Tragically Percival was killed in action on 25 March 1918 at Arras. He was a Sergeant in the 1st Devon Yeomanry. Imagine the effect on Samson and Sarah when Seth was also killed just seven months later. Seth does not appear to have been married and his WW1 Service Record is not available.
