Lewis Hunt was born in 1879 in Lympstone, Devon to William Hunt 1855-? And Ann Granger Harris 1852-?

In the 1901 and 1911 Census he is shown as a butcher working for Phillip Chard in Lympstone. In 1911 he is shown as single and 31 years old. Research suggest he had two sisters Henrietta and Annie and two brothers Francis and Albert.
He is listed on the Broadclyst War Memorial, Exeter.
